Injectables

The two major types of injectables we use are Botox, and Dysport, both have been approved by the FDA as treatments for various skin and nervous disorders. According to WebMD, an important and trusted source of medical information:

Botox and Dysport are types of botulinum toxin products used to treat conditions including wrinkles, lazy eye, and excessive sweating. These drugs block signals from the nerves to the muslces causing them to stop contracting. They are given by injection. The results may last up to 6 months.

Botox Treatment – What is Botox?

Botox is a brand name of a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. There are other brand names for botulinum, such as Xeomin. In large amounts, this toxin can cause botulism, which you probably associate with food poisoning. Despite the fact that one of the most serious complications of botulism is paralysis, scientists have discovered a way to use it to human advantage. Small, diluted amounts can be directly injected into specific muscles causing controlled weakening of the muscles.

The FDA approved such usage in the late 1980s upon the discovery that Botox could stop ailments like blepharospasm (uncontrolled blinking) and strabismus (lazy eye). Doctors have been using Botox for years to successfully treat wrinkles and facial creases. In April 2002, Botox gained FDA approval for treatment of moderate-to-severe frown lines between the eyebrows — called glabellar lines. However, Botox is often used for other areas of the face as well.

Cosmetic Fillers

The second major treatment we use to manage the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin are cosmetic fillers.

Cosmetic fillers are materials injected underneath the skin to make it fuller. After an injection, the plumper skin shows fewer wrinkles and looks younger. Injectable cosmetic fillers have been around for decades. In recent years, medical advances have brought new versions of this wrinkle treatment to the marketplace. Newer cosmetic fillers are longer lasting, even permanent — but do your homework before heading to the cosmetic surgeon.

These results have been proven in clinical trials conducted by leading aesthetic physicians; we guarantee that you will see positive results. More details about this procedure here:
