JORGE GAVIRIA, M.D.Diplomate of the ABHRS (American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery)
Biography:
Dr. Gaviria is a full-time Hair Restoration and Cosmetic Physician that for more than 16 years has helped men and women maintain and restore their own living and growing hair. Dr. Gaviria received his M.D. degree, Surgical, Neuroradiological training and research from the following institutions: University CES, University of Antioquia, Ponce School of Medicine, Karolinska Institute, Centro Medico Mayaguez, et all.
Dr. Gaviria worked as a full time research associate at the Department of Digital Medical Imaging (Moffitt Cancer Center) at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa Florida, under professor Larry Clark, PhD. US Navy Grants. Dr. Gaviria was a fellow of Dermatology for over 4 years at the Cleveland Clinic of Florida with professor M. Rendon, M.D. with the American Academy of Dermatology, AAD.
His first fellowship with Drs. Walter and Robin Unger in New York, Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City, Toronto University and John Hopkins in Maryland; Dr. Gaviria also completed a full second ISHRS fellowship with Dr. Matt Levitt in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Gaviria is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgeons
Known for his pioneering work in minimally-invasive FUE hair transplantation, eyebrow transplantation, low level laser therapy and the medical management of hair loss. Dr. Gaviria practices evidence based medicine and has authored several articles on Hair Transplant Surgery.
Dr. Gaviria is a frequently invited faculty member at major international medical conferences, has authored numerous textbook chapters and peer-review medical journal articles.
